Rhiannon joined Devon Air Ambulance in 2023, fulfilling a long-held ambition to work for a helicopter emergency medical service. During her career as a paramedic, she has undertaken further study in Critical Care at Cardiff University and Urgent and Emergency Care at St George’s University London, as well as an MSc in Healthcare Leadership at the University of Birmingham.

Before joining the charity, Rhiannon was Head of Operations for East Sussex and undertook command roles at an operational, tactical, and strategic level within the ambulance service. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rhiannon helped develop the national pre-planned mutual aid guidance with AACE and NARU and subsequently led a prolonged deployment to support colleagues in London.
