Polio

For the last three years I have been working as the End Polio Now Specialist for Rotary Great Britain and Ireland. And I am a member of the British Polio Fellowship.

I was – some years ago – a lecturer in Further Education, lecturing on Economics, Politics and Philosophy. Yes I had all the fun subjects (I also lectured in research statistics!).

Alongside my lecturing work I was fortunate to be able to take on a variety of research projects, the last involving a research fellowship at Stirling University, mainly in the area of adult education.

After I retired I took up writing crime fiction! Which is great fun, I enjoy writing and find it quite therapeutic. I have six books, all available on Amazon (and very reasonably priced!). I write under the name ‘James Magnus’ – using my middle name.
